Our Story

Maritt Row was born out of creativity, family, and a love for timeless style.

From a young age, Ally had the heart of an entrepreneur. Growing up around her great-grandparents’ jewelry store, she watched the passion and dedication that went into running a family business. By the age of five, she was making and selling little bracelets and donating her earnings to children less fortunate than herself.

Fast forward to 2020, when the world slowed down during the Covid lockdown. Ally, then 16, began making clay earrings at home to pass the time. What started as a hobby quickly grew into something much bigger—people loved them. With the help of markets, pop-ups, and online platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and Etsy, that first business, SEA + SALT Designs, blossomed. Orders soon began arriving from all over the world—Australia, England, Scotland, France, and beyond. To keep up, Ally even taught her mom, Kara, how to make earrings so they could continue creating together.

The name Maritt Row carries deep meaning. Our most cherished memories have always been by the water—whether at the lake or the beach, it’s where we feel calm, at peace, and most at home. We wanted a name that reflected that connection while also honoring the women in our family who came before us. Our name, Maritt Row, was inspired by Ally’s great-grandmothers—Pearl Lynn, Alpha May, and Donna Margaret. Each of their names connects back to Marit, while Pearl also beautifully ties to the water, reflecting the calming influence of lakes and oceans that inspired our brand.

Over the past few years, our vision has expanded. Maritt Row is more than a business—it’s about curating a lifestyle. Our inspiration comes from a slower pace of living, where comfort, timelessness, and ease take center stage. We believe in classic style that feels both nostalgic and effortless—pieces that are cozy yet stylish, relaxed yet enduring. Our collections are carefully chosen to bring that same sense of calm and beauty into everyday life.
